“Kathiawad Nirashrit Balashram” is an ideal institution offering exemplary home to orphan children. This is unique institution of excellent reputation not only in Gujarat but also in entire country. This institution was established in 1904 by Sir Sitaram Pandit. There are 220 children staying in this orphanage from the age group of 1day to 22years. Orphan children are admitted to this institution without distinction of cast creed and community.
Child adopation is one of the main activity of this institution orphans are given for adopation to the happy and well settled couples having no children after strict scrutiny. During last 25 years about 350 children are given for adopation in India and Approximately 175 children are given for adopation in foreign countries. Balashram is regularly getting reports of adopted children. Balashram is arranging marriage of the girls of this institution every year. During last 25 years, 225 girls got married and are now settled well in family life happy. Strict preocedure is followed for selection of candidate for marriage.
